Vern carves many unique pieces or unique variations on particular subjects, such as birds or fish.
He also carves multiple individual variations on subjects that have proved popular — such as his bears and mushrooms.
Bears
Vern’s bears peer up at you playfully, scoop honey from a pot, or idle about with their hands in their pockets. He usually has a few of these on hand because they have proved immensely popular.

Mushrooms
Vern’s mushrooms have spread, as mushrooms do! He carves them in different sizes, with individual variations that emerge from the features of the wood and his inclination of the day.

Fish
An ardent fisherman himself, Vern has carved leaping salmon in many positions. For popular carving, he has settled recently on a simple but elegant style perfect for wall mounting. If you would like, he can carve a “fisherman’s brag” just for you — making your fish to the dimensions of your Most Amazing Catch.

Trees
What else can be made from wood? Ah, trees! But isn’t it the other way around — that the trees come first? Out of the wood that trees give him, Vern’s been creating forests!

Birds
Vern’s birds often perch on a balcony or rooftop, striking against the sky.

Gnomes
Vern’s been really playful lately. These gnomes have taken over a part of his workshop, chattering amongst themselves. It’s hard to hear what they’re saying, though, since they clam up when you get close.

Faces

Vern is just experimenting at the moment, trying out a new theme that might be fun to develop. Stay tuned.
